Hi All,

I run Windows 2003 active directory on my network.

I want to be able to recieve email alert Anytime Domain Controller restarts.

Thanks.

Why a DC or any kind of server had to restart by itself?

Thanks for your response,

We have like three users who has admin priviledge on the DC.

I want to be alerted probably through mail otherwise whenever any of us restart the DC or when the DC is restarted throu" Microsoft security updates.

Thanks.

It's not a good configuration.

Why no reliable users has admin's privilege? There are a lot of permission level in AD that you can use
If you want to know if someone restart the server check the event viewer.

For the MS updates: set it to "Notify but not download and install" and do the trick by yourself periodically.

For a good administration of a domain you need the full control of your DC and otherwise reliable co-administrators.
This is obviously my own opinion :)
