Hi, this is my 1st post here. Is anyone able to tell me how to receive someoneelses email both in and out messages in Microsoft outlook whilst leaving a copy in the server so they are not aware (staff problems) I think I have set up for incoming but dont seem to be getting enough traffic?

Please advise

Incoming:
You should be able to pick up incoming messages by adding the other person's mail account to your Outlook (including username & password) - selecting the Advanced Option to 'leave messages on server' will leave them them there for the original recipient. But, if the orginal recipient does not have the 'leave messages' setting enabled and he or she retrieves the messages before you, you will not get a copy.
Outgoing:
You will not be able to monitor these without doing something to either the user's computer or the mail server.

The behavior & functions that you seek are really mail server level functions.

If it's exchange, go to ad users & computers - open the user object properties, go through the exchange tabs until you find delivery where you can forward email to another account. (with the option of delivering to both.)

get permission to that persons mailbox on your account then add the mailbox to your profile

On a similar issue:
I recently rebuilt my PC (last weekend) and since then Outlook Xpress has not allowed me to pickup our family mail en masse.

It all worked before the rebuild and I exported the accounts to reload again after the build.

I can collect my own but as soon as the next account is called for the connection is dropped and of course it fails. If I delete all the accounts but my own, everything is fine again!

I must be missing a setting somewhere unless someone knows better.

Any help/comments appreciated.

If IT ain’t working Binnit and Reboot

Check the Tools, Options, Connections tab. Deselect the 'Hangup after... ' option.
