Hi,

How can read the text file ( Fixed width )data through Stored procedure? Is it possible? Text file is not in SQL server system. it is in remote system.

i don't have front-end developement access. I need to run script from back end ( Data base).
My case was, if the table data & Text file data is same then, I need to display the data in report, otherwise i show the error msg like " data is not matched"
I am using SQL Server 2000 & Crystal reports 10.

please help me on this.

thanks in advance

Mure

Your question is SQL Server related, it has nothing to do with Crystal.

Try posting in the SQL Server forum, and I suggest that you post specifics, such as how you will access this text file.

You should be able to set up a job to use DTS to read it into the database, then do a compare, and then stamp something with the date.
