Hi. Where can I find information on HOW to read a
protocol map? I understand the OSI model and what
happens on each layer. I've also seen a few protocol
maps, but it's a little confusing to see the flow of
data at each layer, in a practical sense.

For example, if I click on a web link, or copy a file
from a remote computer, I want to look at a protocol
map and know exactly what was done on each layer and and what protocols were used. At this point, I don't know.
Please help.

Thanks.

Search google for a free sniffer, you will be able to see all the packets in every bit of a second that are being transfered to you from the server, and from you to the server.
