How to put a call on hold???

HI
we have a merlin legend r5 and we have a 012 card with 12 basic exts but how do we put a call on hold if a basic ext aswers the line?
also what is the diffrents from hold ans park?

Do a switchook flash,( Hang up for a second, let up, call goes on hold,) now dial Ext XX to transfer or do a switchook flash to return. Call park uses a code which can be dialed from any analog phone to pick up the call (which was put on hold).

With the old merlins #55 I believe would put a call on hold, #58 would set it up for transfer. Correct me if I'm wrong! hope this help's HOP.
