We have several crystal reports 8.5 reports that we publish on a corporate intranet. We simply created the reports, dropped them on our IIS server and added ?init=actx at the end of the url which is used to call the report. These reports run just fine via IE.

Now we've upgraded to Crystal Reports XI Developer edition and I can't get any report I create to display via the web.

I've added ?init=actx at the end of the url but I continue to get the following message (with or without the
?init=actx on the url):
Crystal Report Viewer
Unable to load report. [Connecting to Page Server: MyWebServerName.com]

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,Actually, you did more than that with 8.5, you ( or someone) installed several Crystal components on the IIS box, so it would know how to handle .rpt files..

Not even sure this method of calling reports is still supported in XI.

Thanks Turkbear.

You are correct, we did install some Crystal components on the web server.

I'm having a hard time finding out how to install and configure Crystal XI to publish internal reports to our intranet web site.

Anyone have any suggestions?
