Hi

I am having the requirement where if i login with one user for example santoo, the data available in one query item(SSN) should be seen in the report. and if i login with user for example XYZ the data available in query item(SSN) should not display in report.
How can i achieve this. Please tell in detail how to approach this scenario.

Thanks in advance

When I've had that requirement, we just mask the column by looking at what group the member is in. For example, the column would be displayed for all users, but for users without the security clearance the columb just said **Secured Information. This was simple, and handled in the model so the report developer didn't have to touch it.

If the business really needs the column to not be there, and it was a simple report, I'd put a render variable on the page or list, and just have the SSN removed from the other page/list.
