How to protect a cookie from deletion?

Can anyone tell me how I can protect certain cookies from being deleted (when I use the Tools -> Options -> Delete Cookies feature)?

(I tried disabling delete via the cookies' file security feature, but this didn't seem to work - the cookie would stay, but the related site seemed to no longer refer to that cookie(??))

Rather than use IE's non-selective cookie cleaner, try CCleaner. With CCleaner you can select which cookies are not deleted (amongst other things).
