Hello, I've got a few Notes users who access Notes via a shared PC. Is there a way to have Notes prompt for a user from a list when Notes starts instead of them having to hit cancel at the password prompt and then choosing their ID file?

Do they all access the PC with the same logon?

If not - Re-install 6.5 for multiuser and copy their ID/Names/Desktop to the appropriate directory (C:\docs & settings\user\etc...)

When they launch Notes, it will then only read only the ID from that folder, and they can have a custom desktop/address book etc...

Make sure you install it with a 6.5.* client only CD. The ones with the Admin and Designer clients do not have a prompt for multi user install

On this particular PC, they will be using one single local ID to login to Windows. So all the ID files will be stored under "c:\Program Files\Lotus\notes\data" .

Just trying to figure out a way to prompt for user when Notes starts. I've seen it setup on another one of their PCs that's set up just like this but, am not sure how it was done.
