Is there a way to promote a standalone server to PDC from the system operative? Do I need of some tool? What is it the tool and where I can get it?

Thanks everyone

You need to reinstall as a BDC. Remember BDC AND PDC keeps track of account info, standalone doesnt.
Im sure someone has founded away to tweak it up, but why bother with the headaches screwup.

I'm sure if you do it the right way first you'll be happier in the long run.

Ruster gave you a good link for UPromote. I haven't tried the software but the distributor's claims that it only modified the registry inticed me to create a "home grown" solution.

I will probably give up, shortly. It isn't as easy LOL as one might think.

Take kjonnnnn's advice. I'm not saying that the UPromote software doesn't work (I haven't heard any complaints). I'm just saying, unless this is a #1-do-it-now-or-die priority, you will probably feel more secure if you skip the reg-hack and reinstall from scratch.
