still checkig. I seem to have got sta 221 working, thinking i was working on 228. I'm still used to working on avaya partners.

Got it. After seeing sta 221 was working I just copied it to 228. Thank goodness my customer has a spare system I can take home and play with so I don't look like a tota a_s on the premises.

Thank you
Scott

This forum has been a wealth of knowledge for me. I've recently been delegated to administrate our Nortel telephone system with literally no training! :\ I've a few of the manuals and some notes from a previous administrator, so I can do some things. However, I'm running into a speakerphone issue.

I've got three M7310 handsets in my office, but I can't get any of them to transmit voice under the handsfree mode. I've tried hitting the "handsfree mute" button, thinking that the mic was muted, but that didn't fix it.

I see the response from curlycord stating to set "SetCapabilities/Handfree" to "Y," but where is that at in the administration menu? I've dug around, but can't seem to find it.

Any help on this would be extremely helpful!

Lushimania, yes this site has an abundance of knowledge...

First of all, please create your own tread for your questions.

Secondly, go to the set, and do a FEATURE * 0 and press the handsfree button, see if it is handsfree - it will say that on the display, if there is no handsfree it will show up as the extension number of the set.

Under TERMINALS&SETS -> SHOW SET:___ (extension of sets you want to change) -> CAPABILITIES [enter]-> keep hitting next till you see HANDSFREE: change to Auto , press Next to save, and change the HANDSFREE ANSWERBACK to yes. Press the Next button to save changes. See if there is an UPDATE on the screen, when the update is done - Voila you should have handsfree capabilities now.
