We have several analog lines still using Stutter dial tone for MWI. I occasionally receive trouble tickets from new users that state they're getting BUSY Tone when they go off hook. It's been my experience with Stutter dial tone for MWI has been that when going off-hook there would be the initial Stutter dial tone then regular dial tone.

Is there way to change this in the Nortel CS1000 running Rls 7.5 to program "Initial Stutter Dial tone" instead of "Constant Stutter Dial tone"?

on older releases stutter tone an analog sets meant there were messages for you to pick up.. once you had picked up your messages then steady dial tone was returned.

On a Nortel PBX you will get "Interupted" dial tone until you pickup your messages from Merdian Mail / CallPilot. Then you will get regular steady dial tone.

It's a phone system, NOT a clock!

I am sure Avaya would be glad to write you code for that for a small fee

Looks like it is what it is.....I had a different experience years ago with Stutter dial tone from a Nortel DMS100 and I know it's not the same as the SL1 PBX's. Thanks for your responses.
