Hello everyone, I have a laptop which has a centrino chip in it and I wish to communicate with my hp officejet d145 through a wireless manner. I also have an apple base station (11mps).

Please advice of how I can print documents wirelessly.

Thank you.

Does the base station have a print server? or the office jet have an ethernet port? you have to have a print server for the base station to communicate with it.

Ok thanks for the reply, I neglected to mention that the airport is connected to an iMac through an ethernet connection while the printer is linked to the iMac by USB.

On my mac, I've configured everything including enable Windows file sharing and printer sharing. I'm also told that I could access the printer at \\10.0.1.3\bk which puzzles me because when I try to add a printer using that address, Windows immediately tells me it cannot find a printer.

And yes, my printer does have a print server and the manual only devoted two sentences to it describing what that is.

I am absolutely dumbfounded by this problem.

Many thanks for helping.

ok,I don't know how to do it on an apple, but on a pc the resource(printer) has to have sharing enabled. print and file sharing alone won't do it. on the pc you set it up as a network printer (//pcname/printer). no idea how to set it up on a mac.appletalk is different.
