If I have a postscript file, isn't there a way I can pass this file to a postscript printer without windows trying to interpret the file first?

I want the postscript to get interpreted at the printer, instead I am always getting a printout of the code.

If you're printing to a locally attached printer, i.e. one on the LPT1: port, then the old DOS standby should work.

Open your "command prompt", and then:

Code:
COPY filename LPT1:

Just figured out that one after posting.

Now to handle those networked printers.. Win98 seems to be able to 'map' LPT1 to a networked printer, but I can't get NT or XP to do it yet.

NT and XP come with print services for UNIX. If you install it(a Windows component) you can print from the cmd prompt using
lpr -S <ipaddress> -P<queuename> myfile.ps

have fun,
