is there any command of scripts that can help me to print out such activities
1. userid activities such login, logout, faillogin or etc
2. on-line memory usage for each userid

for you info, I'am using Aix 4.3.3

Thanks

Regards
Rosli
Rosli

'lastcom <user>' will give you a list of shell commands run by your users.

memory usage per user-id -- hmmm, not sure if you can do that. I'll check. Anybody else know?
Mike
michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
All I can think of is du -k /~user , but that will only tell you how much disk space they are using, not how much memory their processes are using.
Jon Zimmer
b0rg@pcgeek.net
<a href= Aetea Information Technology
The software required `Windows 95 or better', so I installed Linux.
ps -fel will give the memory SZ and uid for each procees.
Ged Jones
gedejones@hotmail.com

Good thought Ged - you could use 'ps -fel' and then work out totals by user from there
Mike
michael.j.lacey@ntlworld.com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
