Hi all,
Recently I have installed redhat 8.0 and want to print some tif files from the box. I used the lpr command in console, ie. lpr faxfile.tif, but the printer prints a lot of rubbish pages. I try to print the tif file using GUI program and it is fine. However I needed to print the tif in command line using lpr. How can I make it works?
It can work when I using redhat 7.0.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have been using tiff2ps to convert received fax files to Postscript, then piping the output to lpr from the command line. Try the command: tiff2ps -a|lpr. Hope this works for you.

Oops!! Left out the important part..... Try: tiff2ps -a filename.tif|lpr. Sorry!!!
