Hello,
How can I prevent users from seeing who else has access to a particular Portal site or WSS site?
We're deploying Sharepoint as an extranet solution for our clients and we'd like to prevent other users from seeing who our other clients are. I've played with the Configure Search and Index settings for a long time, but I cannot figure out how to prevent people from seeing the other accounts who are enabled for a particular site.
I've noticed that if you type in a name in the main portal search box, it will bring up a link to that person's profile. Interestingly enough, it will only do this if that particular user has previously created a MySite view. Anyone who's never clicked "MySite" will not show up.
As a related question, ... if I disabled the MySite view for all sites, would this do the trick? Would there still be a way to see other users? On that note, what's the best way to disable MySite? Would it be to modify the site definition for the portal and subsites?
Thanks,
Mike
