Is there a way to have Colorado Back-up II check a tape cartridge to make sure the entire back-up job will fit into the remaining space on the cartridge?

I'm asking because I'm trying to avoid the annoyance of having a back-up require me swap cartridges back and forth while it completes the job.

I like to start the back-up procedure when I go to bed each night, and find it done when I wake in the morning. But if there's not enough room on the tape, then the job stalls, waiting for me to change the tape. So when I wake up the next morning I find only a partially completed back-up. Then I have to swap the tape and wait for it to complete, then swap it again so it can verify, and then swap it again so it can complete the verification.

How can I check in advance, to make sure the back-up will fit into the space remaining on the tape, before I start the job?
