How to point an existing print queue to a remote printer?
My department wants to change their printer. The problem is, they want to maintain the print queue name and the new print is going to be on the network.
Question.
Should I delete the print queue and set-up a net print queue pointing it to the remote print?
In smit, I thought of going thought the below process.
[ol][li]Printer/Plotter[/li]
[li]Print Spooling[/li]
[li]Programming Tools[/li]
[li]Queues and Queue Devices[/li]
[li]Queue Devices – [tt]Then point it to the remote printer. What I do not know is, will this delete the old print devices and point it to the network print?[/ol][/tt]
Please help?![[sadeyes] [sadeyes] [sadeyes]](/data/assets/smilies/sadeyes.gif)
