How to place small bitmap image into ps ?

I have a program that produces a bitmap barcode image.
This image must then be placed into, merged, copied on top,....(what ever works) into a postscript document.
Any one have any ideas? Thanks -

If it's truly bitmap data, use the "image" operator. This operator takes a lot of parameters, so it's important to know the exact format of your image to give you a complete answer.
