How to place query value right after a line of text

Do you know how to place a query item value right after a text item?

ie:

Some information here: <query item value here>
The next line of text.....

Hi,

Which Cognos product are you using? If you mean in Report Studio (ReportNet or Cognos 8 ) the trick is to unlock the structure using the padlock button on the toolbar.

Thanks for your reply. I unlocked it and tried putting in a layoutcal, and queycalc but it still does not work. Should I sorround it with something else?

Hi,

You'd need a query calculation - I'm guessing Cognos 8 Report Studio from the terminology. If it is Cognos 8, your best bet would be to drag a Repeater in, change the Query property of the Repeater to use your main report query, then drop the Query Calculation inside the repeater.
