How to permanently set TERM variable

Hi folks,

whenever we export TERM variable it gets overwritten by some default after logout and relogin...

How and where do we set this variable permanently so that it works with direct login from ascii terminal as well as remote login via telnet?

update the ODM with the TTY:

chdev -l ttyX -a term=ibm3151

subsitute your terminal and tty...

You could also do it throught smit....

smit ttys
