How to pass parameters across modules

I'm trying to get Designer 2000 to call a module (with an action button), in such a way that the called module will either auto-query or start inserting, putting the values of passed parameters into some bound items in the process.<br><br>Auto-query or start inserting: CG$STARTUP_MODE looks designed for the job<br>Pass the parameters from the calling form: the online help seems rather explicit<br><br>But... How do you &quot;define usages of arguments by bound items&quot; (as it says in the online help!), so the values of the transmitted parameters are stored in the corresponding bound items?<br><br>Suggestions welcome!
