how to partition my HDD without eraseing files?

I have a 40Gb hard disk drive(Using Win ME). i want to partition it to two parts.
i read one old thread two months ago ( can't find it now), some experts introduced two softwares which could do this job and could be download from website.
Does anyone know that software name and website?

One would be Powerquest Partition Magic and the other would be paragon partition manager. Both of these can change partition sizes and create partitions without data loss.
