SX2000 redundant. When I type FORMPRINT and hit ENTER; I am prompted for a parameter with the message "Next enter:" followed by about 10 lines of possible choices from " / or AC13" through "PAGE or PATH". From the alphabetical arrangement, it follows that there must be at least one other page below these 10 lines. (See attachment).

How do I access the next page below the line ending with "PAGE or PATH"?

What function key or control key or "ESC___" combination? I have tried many different things and I am sure the answer is simple. I just cannot find it. In MAintence Mode, is there a list somewhere of Mitel SX2000 keyboard commands, control codes, shortcuts or whatever?

Thanks,

John

What you're seeing on your screen is all there is. There are no more Formprint prompts below what you have displayed.

You can literally perform a Formprint on any form in the system, just do not *EVER* enter the command "Formprint all" because no matter how many trees you cut down you will still run out of paper.

Forms with multiple instances, for example class of service, where you have multiple classes of service defined, can each individually be printed using the "instance" qualifier: Example, the following syntax will print out class of service 3:
FO CLA O S /I 3 (press enter}
then wait about 10~15 seconds then enter this command:
EN P {press enter}

You can even queue-up multiple print jobs (max 4 I believe) then (after a short pause) enter this command:
EN P /N

In the examples I have abbreviated the commands to the minimum syntax the system will understand. In the first example the fully qualified command would be:
FORMPRINT CLASS OF SERVICE /INSTANCE 3

The print job will (by default) come to LPR3 unless you have another printer defined in the application logical port assignment and systemn port assignment forms. You can also redirect a print job to a specific printer defined only in the system port assignment but not in the application logical port assignment using the flwg. example as your guide.

FO CLA O S /I 3 /PO LPR2 (note spacing in these examples - spacing exaggerated for clarity in reading)

EN P in full syntax = ENABLE PRINT
EN P /N = ENABLE PRINT /NONQUEUED

In forms which have only one instance, such as the System Options Assignment form, you do not use the instance qualifier.

In forms which -DO HAVE- multiple instances, such as the Multiline Set Key Assignment form, omitting the instance qualifier will cause all instances of the form to be printed

If you screw up and get something started that you didn't mean to do you can use the KILL command, thusly:
FO /Kill [press enter] which will _eventually_ stop the job. (patience)

Hopefully you don't work for some idiot who wants all the forms printed out for "documentation" purposes. We had a fellow around here like that once... he walked out into the street one day in front of a bus. We didn't miss him for a couple years or so. ;-)

Thank you for the quick response. I was so convinced there must be another page. Also, thanks for the tutorial. I have recently been assigned to provide Mitel support and it is a steep learning curve for me. Thanks for the heads up about fornprint all.

Thanks again for the help. I have been unable to get any output files. I know I did this in the past, long ago. We never printed hard copy - only files. I actually login from my laptop, using PCAnywhere to a 'server', where I run Procomm Plus (remotely) to dial into the Mitel SX2000 server (redundant). Somehow, we used to produce files that I could import into Excel or just look at in their native form. Unfortuantely, it has been a long while since I had hands on the Mitel system. Now, I am the "telephone guy". Ha, ha. I am familiar with computers - been working with them for 30+ years. I know how to "print to file", etc. I just don't know what to do to get the Mitel to print to a file for me. If necessary, I can go physically to the intermediate 'server' and physically to the Mitel if that is an issue.

If, when formprint prints, it creates a file, then that file must be on the SX2000 somewhere, right? But then, hoe do I get it off of the SX2000?

Thanks again.
