How to overwrte printing Letter to A4

Hi All

I have a printer with a PCL board which is set to print to A4, however sometimes users print from the Internet which is Letter, this causes the printer to hang and other users print jobs are stuck in the print queue,is there anyway that I can set the printer to overwrite it and print to A4, someone told me that this is only possible on a Postscript board?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
