Hi Guys,
Just wondering if there is any solution for dropped network packets whilst using a SSH client?
We have a remote office using a ADSL connection to the net. The clients at the remote office fire up a SSH app that connects to a server at head office. Every now and then the remote office's ADSL connection will drop for about 4 seconds.
Excluding the root cause of the dropped connection, is there anyway to keep the client alive whilst the ADSL modem re-establhished the connection for a couple of seconds?
I've tried putting in the TcpMaxDataRetransmissions DWORD into the registry and it hasn't made a huge difference other than the client app (not the SSH session, just the client app) doesn't throw up a error saying that the session is now inactive.
The session itself just hangs.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Steve.
