I am replacing an Option 11 with a Cisco Call Manager. The Cisco is up and running and I want to out/erase all the cards in the Option 11 to turn it in. What is the process to out all the line cards without doing one TN at a time? I disabled the card adn tried using the OUT CARDMLT command and I get SCH codes
SCH2505

An attempt was made to remove a card that has equipped units

What is the trick/process?

Mitch

No trick really, you have to out each TN individually before you can use out cardmlt or cardslt. Or you could reinstall the software and wipe it out that way.

So what is the steps to reload the database? How long does this typically take?

Thanks for the response.

Mitch

Is there a way to delete a range of TN's or possibly by phone type?

What release if your option 11 system?. It's possible to reload a default database, but that depends what release you have.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Once again, you have to out each TN individually. There is no range programming or a way to out by phone type. If you can reload the database that will be your quickest option. Or destroy the CPU if it's not needed.

You can out several 500 type TNs with
REQ: out 16

You get prompted for the first TN and the next 15 TNs that are programmed are outed.
Also works for trunks but not digital TNs.

It really wouldn't take that long to out all the phones one at a time on an Opt 11 anyway.

Thanks StanleySteamer

I didn't know that tip. I guess it will still fail if the DN belongs to a hunt group. I tend to use a procomm plus script to remove them all after deleting the hunt groups first. I also delete all the speed call lists using a script.

It's handy keeing the SSC and daughterboard that already has a particular release of software on it in case there is a need to visit a site that has damage or a corrupted card.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up deleting them all one at a time. I had about 175 phones.
