How to optimize Windows Media Player for Memory use?

I have a small .Avi file--about 5 megs. I use it for a screen saver. When Media Player is playing this thing, the HD light is CONSTANTLY FLICKERING! (Excuse the outburst, frustration with Microsoft)...

Anyway, I looked for a buffer setting that would be something like:

"Load into memory instead of constantly reading the exact same 5 megs off the disk when in Repeat mode".

But the forsight to do something like this was either lacking or they hid the setting somewhere. None of the buffering settings do anything, and I can't see anything else that seems intuitively like it would help. I know this is possible because Autodesk had a .flc player with exactly the aforementioned setting.

I'm willing to buy a 3rd party .avi/mp3/wma/etc player that actually had some thought put into its programming if anyone knows of one--or can anyone help with this setting within WiMP? Thanks,
T

Do a google search for "Ramdisk". Set up a script file to copy the .avi to the ramdisk and play from there.
