how to open the cd drive even it's empty?? 1

but "eject" doesn't work if the driver is empty. Is there a way to open the drive although it's empty?

As far as I know that shouldn't make a difference. What hardware are you using? Does the drive have an eject button? Annihilannic.

I'm using blade 1000 with a DVD drive, and it has eject button.
