How to Open PDF format document in Crystal Report ???

Hi!
I need to show a PDF format document(NOT export) in my report.I am using SCR V8.I was able to embed fields on a scanned Image in the report but when I am trying to Insert a Acrobat PDF document it as a OLE object I see only the Acrobat icon but not the document.I need to embed a few database fields on this document on the report.Is this possible ?? Ken or anyone can you pls help ??

BitMap images can be displayed on the report, and can be linked to a file, so that changes to the file are reflected each time the report is opened. Surprisingly, PDF documents don't seem to work that way. You can only see the contents by opening the PDF in Acrobat the acrobat viewer. It may be that you need full Acrobat installed to view the object contents on the report.

In either case, the report would not be able to use fields from the PDF, only display them. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
