Hello,
I know it's possible to open other programs using the Shell function, but I was wondering if there is a way to open a .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat and pass in a value to have it search and display in a particular area. The reason I need this is because we are an aircraft overhaul facility and our parts manuals are supplied to us on CD-Roms in .pdf format. We constantly get updated versions but the titles of the chapters don't change on the disks. Also, when I receive the disks I copy the data into a folder on a shared network drive. What I would like to do is have my program open the required chapter from the network drive and possibly pass in the name or part numnber required and have Acrobat do a search and display the correct page.
I think this is a great site for information and I really appreciate everyones help in previous posts.
Sincerely,
jcfrasco
