How to obtain copy og GW 5.2.5 Client

I will be working on a migration of mail from GW 5.5.1 to MS Exchange 2000. I am told that though the users use groupwise 5.5, the migration works best using version 5.2.5 (5.2 sp5?).

This version does not seem to be available at novell's support and download page, where it seems only the newer versions and something called "5.2.5 16bit remote client" (for windows 3.1x) are available. Is it possible to obtain this elsewhere?

Novell has discontinued support of the 5.2.x version of GW. I can not see any problem with migrating GW 5.2.x to exchange. All SP's were geared to the performance of GW. And inherent to a GW system only. All databases pretty much stayed the same (wpdomain, wphost) and should not impeed a migration process. I hate to see anyone at this point in time leaving GW. Especially with the introduction of GW 6.5. I was around when it was Word Perfect, and have finally appreciated Novells's efforts for a sticktoitifnuss on this product. There is no problem for going from GW to Exchange, or vesa virsa , only in conscious and more administrative work. Have a good one - and best of luck!!

Actually I do not have GW 5.2. We are migrating from 5.5 to exchange 2000 but i have been told that oner should use the 5.2.5 client to perform this migration as this works best with the Microsoft migration program. Does the end of support for gw 5.2 mean I cannot get a copy of this client from any source?

I did this using GW 5.5 EP and it worked just fine. I don't think that the non-EP version would be any different.
