I have a friend that has wireless broadband internet. He says that there is a cable that goes to a cisco route, then from there, there is a coax cable that goes to a card that was installed in his PC. The problem is that he wants to network this now... Is this done the same way you would with DSL or Cable?
Buy a hub or router and run the coax cable to the hub/router then use cat5 cable to go to each PC? The internal network does not need to be wireless, that is just the only high speed interent he could get.

Running from the router to a switch, then to the users should work if you setup the Cisco router for DHCP.

"Do it right the first time, and there won't be a second time!"

Not for satellite or true WISP connections, it is just not that easy. I wish.

See for an excellent discussion:
It discusses satellite, but the principle issues apply to many WISP sites as far as end-user choices exist.
