Does anyone out there know of a way to set up a Dell 1600n multifunction printer to work as a network scanner? I can load a document, then press Start Scan, then choose Network Scan on the display, but when it asks me to "Selece User ID", it beeps and says "ID List Empty". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need a Dell utility called Dell Network Scan that you can input the IP address of the 1600n. There is where you will setup a user ID and password that will bind your PC and the 1600n together. The software should have came with your 1600n along with the paper port OCR software.
