Hi,
I've got XP HOME (OEM) on a pc with dead motherboard. Can't boot disk on another PC, has OEM version of XP which is tied to original install's motherboard (it just won't boot). I've got a new machine, done a fresh install of XP, and the original XP HOME disk is mounted as a slave disk. I can't use IE's export utility to export my favourites and cookies, so has anyone know how to do it ? I've worked out the location of the new install (internet options/browser history/settings) and i've copied the cookies across from the slave (original) disk, but IE8 ignores them.

Not tried the favourites yet. Does anyone know how to do it ?
Thanks
Roy

On original disc, navigate to drive:\documents and settings\username\favorites, copy all, paste into similar location on new disc
