I think that would depend on the addin. Some commercially available ones probably have some protection in place to try to prevent sharing.
If it is a small homegrown addin, you can email it to another user.
When the recipient opens the .xla, a prompt will ask them if they want to install a copy of the addin on their system. Respond "Yes".
Alternately, you can place the addin on a network drive and let other users open it from there. If they choose not to install a copy on their system, it will still be available upon startup, but everyone will be pointing to the same copy in the same network folder. I have done this for an addin shared between 3 - 5 people for a few years now and never had any trouble (apart from having to make everyone exit Excel before you can update the file). If you share it amongst too many users, there might be an increased chance of file corruption - i just don't know. Does anyone else here know if that is a concern?

Ok thanks...if we have already have the add-in installed and we don't have the install software anymore...can we move this install to another computer without reinstalling? I hope that makes sense. Maybe it's a dumb questions.
