Hello everyone, I have an IP set with CAP, and I am trying to program an ANSWER DN button on the Expansion unit (no available buttons on the IP set). I tried F*3 and F*81 none worked. Thank you in advance.

you assign the Answer Dn in programming via element Manager

Thanks snowman50, i tried Element Manager. I am trying to add 4 ANSWER DNs to 1140 set with CAP. I am using 4 Intercom buttons on the set. After i added 4 ANSWER DNs using Element Manager, Only 2 ANSWER DNs showed up on the set, and i do not see the other 2, they do not appear on the CAP. I need to be able to see all ANSWER DNs buttons. Thanks again.

Don't think you can set a 1140 as a Cap only 2002, 2004, & 2007 IP sets if I remeber correctly.

The CAP is working with 1140 set (I should said that i have BCM400 with 4.0). The reason the customer purchased the unit is so they can see the ANSWER DNs Buttons. Thanks.

Does the newer BCM S/W allow for Answer DNs to be moved to keys other than right above the Intercom keys? I thought once you programmed an Answer DN it appeared in a fixed location above the Intercom key(s) and couldn't be moved.

That's what I thought. I don't work on BCMs and Norstars everyday anymore so I wanted to make sure they haven't changed anything on me.
