How to move an existing SID 1

Hello.

Is there a way of removing the existing SID form a server that is about to be rebuilt and them copying it back to the same server after a rebuild. I have look around but can only see referances that apply to SQL servers, can any one help please.

NewSID will allow you to specify a SID so you can find and record the current SID and then apply it after you have built the new server.
