I've never done it before so I need some help. I have a 2000 domain controller and I need to move all of it's functions to another physical computer. All of it's roles, global catalog and everything that has to do with it. Anyone done it?

hi,

More or less:

1) add another server in the domain, and dcpromo
it to do a 2nd DC (in W2K is not a BDC)

2) when thay are well synchro, activate the global catalog
on the second; wait some days

3) remove global catalog from srv1, demote it if you need
