Hi again,

here we go again: ;)

We are trying to mount our diskette drive (fd0) in order to copy the contents to our harddisk...
So far all our attempts to mount it have failed.

So question ist: How can we mount fd0 or at least copy the contents to our harddisk ?

Thanks in advance !

Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

you don't have to mount the fd0. Try these commands:

tar -xvf /dev/fd0
restore -xvf /dev/fd0
dosdir (list the content of fd0 if written in DOS format)
dosread filnamefdo filenamedisk
dosread -a filnamefdo filenamedisk

Regards
Stefan

Hello,
If you want to take files from AIX to Dos then just use the command dosread and doswrite. look at the man on the command to see which one has to be used.
