Does any one have a script to monitor the mailbox stores availability? We would like to be notified when the stores go down.

I'd start by solving the problem of why they go down - Exchange stores shouldn't do that.

Basic notifications come with Exchange 2003.

Load up ESM, Expand Administrative Groups->First Admin Group->Servers and right-click your server. Add some monitoring using the Monitoring tab.

Then select Tools->Monitoring and Status.
You can configure to send emails or run scripts (e.g. send an SNMP or other type of message to a user).
