Hi everyone,

How can one mirror a graphic object in PM?.
Actually, I imported a graphic that faced right and I would like, it faces left and I discovered that the only thing to do, is to mirror the graphic.
BRGDS.

Hi, victor76,

Click Window -> Show control Palette.
Select the graphic.
Click the Mirror/Flip Button in the top right hand corner as I've tried to illustrate.

John,

How do you insert screenshots into this browser? I have often thought that this would be great when posing a question. How do you know when you have an object that is too large to fit in this window?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi, Daniel,

To be honest, I don't, and it also depends on the viewer's screen rez.

As a general rule, I keep the width below about 400 pixels, the filesize to below 25Kb and use GIF format which is better for screen colours and displaying text than JPG.

I use SnagIt from for the screencaptures as it will include the cursor.

John,

I use Snagit also. I can't find any command in the list of markup language for pasting a graphic from your hard drive into the Tek-Tips forum.

Duh, I don't know anything about HTML.

Daniel

Hi, Daniel,

Your image needs to be uploaded to your, not TT's, website so browsers can access it.

Most ISPs supply users with a nomimal amount of webspace - 10-25Mb. You need an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) application such as Ipswitch's WS_FTP to copy the files from your PC to the webserver.

John,

So I take it that the command <IMG SRC="put location of gif here"> will not work from my hard drive. I don't have my own web site and our school's server blocks FTP's because they "might cause a problem." And I suppose in a school setting with 7th and 8th graders they might.

When I was a Machead, I used to go to iMacfoppy.com or something like that to send large files from home to school. Might that FTP site still work if it is active?

Thanks,

Dan

Not a chance - my browser will be looking on my C: drive, not yours.

That sounds a possibility. Another free site for small files ( <1Mb ) is

Thanks for the free hosting site address, I've been looking for one for a while.
