Using Seagate Info v 7.5, with our cinfo database loaded in MS SQL 2000, we're must move the cinfo db to another SQL box.

The initial attempt was just to edit the existing ODBC definition to point to a copy/restore of the SQL cinfo database. This resulted in the APS service being unwilling to restart.

Is there a database migration process to follow? Does documentation of this process exist?

Any help/thoughts gratefully appreciated.

1. Create the database and copy the data.
2. Set up the ODBC DSN - different than the one you've been using.
2. Run the Info Configuration Manager.
3. Go to the APS Tab and click on "Specify".
4. Select "Specify" and point to the new ODBC DSN.
