How to mask a intranet Url? 1

Hi,

I am presently using Sharepoint Team Services as our company intranet solution. By default the intranet virtual server takes the form Is there a way to mask or rename this url?

I put an alias in DNS for the server, but I think I had to also change something in Sharepoint Central Admin.

You can give it a host header using IIS. I have it set so users just have to type "portal" and it takes them to it.
