How to manually translate a map using gentran NT server

Hi Guyz,

Need help, I want to know how to manually translate a map using gentran nt windows server without using process control.

Like I have test data in one folder, i already created outbound relationship,trading partners,sys import map,
set the import configuration.

But now what to do inorder to take that file and test it for translating.

Stuck at this point for this outbound map.

Please any suggestions, urgent.

Not really clear on your question. Are you asking how to import a test file to test your outbound map?

As long as your tasks are completed as you state (SYSImport map, relatoinship, etc.) then all you need do is go to the workspace (click on the center of the GENTRAN desk top). Click on the Import button and GENTRAN will let you go thru the typical hierarchy to find the file you want to import. When it is imported, it will be listed in the table associated with the "Workspace" area (which you have open.

You can then check your translation...
