How to manipulate color in Status Bar

I have used the Microsoft Status Bar as part of my form, i can easily manipulate the panels...

However, when it comes to manipulating the text properties such as the colors or font, i cant find the properties to manipulate....

has anybody tried using the status bar activex???

Right-mouse on the control in design time, and go to SBARCtrl properties, and change the font in the 'font' tab.
