Hi,

Sorry if this is a lame question, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

When I open a project in BIDS, it lists all the packages in the Solution Explorer.

Problem is, when I open and debug a particular package in the design window, it opens tabs for EVERY single package listed in Solution Explorer.

Apparently this is some strange default behavior... is there a way to turn this off? What am I not understanding here?

Thanks

You are either references these packages in your package or you have the project set to build when you debug. Right click on your Solution (top most thing in your solution explorer. These will list your various configurations, my guess is you haven't set up any additional configurations.

You should create a new configuration for development and unselect the build option. You can then create a final build configuration that is configured to produce your build.

You can select your various configurations from the drop down next to the Start Debugging arrow in your tool bar.
