How to make your site known?

I have a wonderfull friend who has a rabbit farm. She built her own website but now she wants to make sure peopel will see it when googling.
Is there way to boost your site?

There are many ways. Search this forum or forum828 (Search Engine Optimization).

Some of the ways include good titles (with judicious use of the keywords she thinks people use to search for sites like hers), external links in to her pages, code that can be navigated by the search engine spiders, external links, use of keywords in her pages, (did I mention external links?)...

A good way to get external links is to email some organisations/businesses suggesting a reciprocal links agreement i.e. if you create a link to my site on your site, I'll create a link to your site on my site. Then, there is a mutual benefit to both parties.
