I am using Captivate to create Flash files. I've just started experimenting around with it today. I have a book on order, but I haven't received it yet. When I try to run the file that I've created on a different workstation, it doesn't work. What do I need to do to make the file portable?

To view SWFs, you need Flash player installed on the computer which is running it.

Theres two things I can think of which might work here:

1. Open the SWF on those other workstations using Internet Explorer - IE usually has the Flash plugin installed.

2. Instead of exporting as an SWF, export it as an EXE (projector). You can also just run the SWF on your workstation (where it works OK) and go to FILE -> CREATE PROJECTOR
